Here are some of the basic steps involved in painting your homes exterior
- We start with power washing the outer surfaces to remove all of the dirt, pollen, salt and debris. A clean surface will ensure the paint lasts its longest.
- We repair and replace any damaged surface areas and rotted wood. Whether you have siding, wood, metal,or stucco, we will thoroughly check every area and make any necessary repairs. We will apply epoxy filler if needed and then we sand and scrape off any loose paint to make the surfaces smooth so the paint will look its best when it is applied.
- We will caulk the trim and fill in any gaps especially on surfaces where different materials meet.
- Prime- Apply a coat of primer to areas that have stains or knots. Also use primer if you are painting a different color over your existing one to ensure the best coverage. It is not always necessary to prime when you are painting the same color.
- Protect- We cover all of the windows, doors and lighting fixtures with plastic and painters tape.
- Paint- When it is time to paint, we apply two coats of flat or eggshell paint to your entire house.
- Trim- We use two coats of semigloss paint on the the doors and all of your woodwork.
- Clean up. We make sure to leave your house and your property cleaner than when we started. We make sure to pay attention to these important details.
